Vicky joined the INZ team in July 2017 as the North Island Project Manager – based in Hawkes Bay. She’s comes to INZ with 8 years’ experience at Hawkes Bay Regional Council where she worked in Compliance and then the Water Information Services team where she worked with INZ, other national stakeholders, local industry and consent holders to implement water metering guidelines and water meter data standards. In 2016 she joined PGG Water as the Hastings Service Manager where she was able to “see life from the other side” for industry and growers in a world of increasing regulation.

Vicky has a passion for all things irrigation but particularly the topic of irrigation efficiency. This is driven from the knowledge that we must do more with less if we are going to able to supply the ever growing global population with the food and fibre consumers demand. She also sees the growing divide between rural and urban communities over farming and irrigation and wants to do her part to close the gap
